| In the wild
this species can be found in 2000 to 2250 m above sea level mostly in
rocky areas. It is a small, tuber formig climbing plant. The leaves are narrowly lancet-shaped, about 5 cm in length and 0,5 cm broad. The flowers are pinkish brown to slightly purplish and are about 3 cm long. The flower-tube is about 1 cm long and a bit swollen at the base, the petals are not united but straddling like tentacles. |
