| syn. Ceropegia armandii var. petignatii [wrong], Ceropegia petitgnatii [wrong] |
| distribution: Madagascar |
| This is one of the malagasy
crocodile Ceropegias, a name that refers to the reptile like appearance of
some of those species. The stems are highly succulent in the beginning, about as thick as a finger, but do have nevertheless quite respectable leaves. Later the stems begin continuously to become slimmer and start to wind. The flowers are quite large and have a wonderfull citron-yellow colour. Ceropegia petignatii is now critically endangered in the wild by overgrazing. |
