Ceropegia nilotica 'Moribane Forest'

back

The corolla lobes of this form are compressed in such an extent, that they bear no real affinity to the flowers of the 'normal' Ceropegia nilotica clones by first glance.

This unusual form was photographed by Stefaan Dondeyne in the Moribane Forest in Mozambique. Very similar flower forms can be found however also in plants from Kenya for example. In Archer's 'Kenya Ceropegia Scrapbook' three of them are shown with the tag names of 'Lunga Lunga', 'Maji ya Chumvi' and 'Samburu'.
