This species belongs to the upright growing forms, which can be found in grasslands, where it is very difficult to detect them among the surrounding vegetation during the off-flowering season.

The leaves are about 6 to 8 cm long and narrowly to very narrowly lancet-shaped.

The flowers are very large, they reach a length of up to 12 cm, of which about the half is formed by the thread-like thin petals.
