| This species
preferentially grows in the mountainous regions in about 1500 m above sea
level. There it can be found in arid grassland or open scrubland,
together with other native succulent plants like Euphorbia ammak or
Euphorbia schimperi. This species has fleshy, up to 40 cm long, spindle-shaped roots. The twining stems are covered with fine white hair all over, as well are the ovate, 3 cm to 10,5 cm long and about 4 cm wide leaves. These again are much lighter in colour on the underside than on the upper side. The flowers are greenish white coloured and mottled with very light rosy spots, the upper part of the corolla is apple-green in colour and decorated with quite long, pink corolla hairs. |
