| This species
usually grows in 900 to 1500 m above sea level. It is an upright growing plant with fleshy roots. These roots are about 4 cm long and are thickened particularly in the middle. The upright growing stem is about 50 cm tall and reaches a diameter of 0,25 cm in its widest part. It has a dusty grey colouration and is covered with yellowish hair. The very short petioled leaves are up to 4,5 cm long and possibly also as broad as long, the have a slightly roughened surface. The middle vein is the only distinct vein. The flowers appear terminal. They are quite large, about 8 cm long and coloured yellowish green or brown. |
