| This species
belongs to the dimorphic, so called crocodile Ceropegias. The olive-green stems are quite thick in the beginning and the leaves are reduced to the leaf-base. When the plant is mature it starts to grow very quickly, the stem becomes thinner and greener and bears small leaves. These are long and narrowly lancet-shaped. The flowers are swollen ballon-like at the base, white with ruby-coloured venation on the outside as well as on the inside. The petals are united, reddish brown and bear some reddish brown hair on the lower part. |
