| This species
has thickened roots. The slightly hirsute stem grows climbing resp. twining and can reach a length of 1 to 3 m and is mostly unbranched. It dies back seasonally. The hirsute leaves have a ca. 0,5 cm long petiole, they are about 1 cm long, sometimes longer, lancett-shaped ovate and have a heart-shaped leaf base. The more or less fully light green flowers appear in small groups on an up to 2,5 cm long petiole and reach a length of 3 to 4 cm. The flower reminds on the head and beak of a swan, exactly as the name implies. |
